Effective March 14, all short motion dockets will be split each day into an 8:00 am "Zoom Docket" and an 8:30 am "In Person Docket".  Attorneys have the option to have their short motion heard on either the 8:00 am Zoom docket (your motion must include the required Zoom language) or the 8:30 am in person docket.  The Zoom link listed below will be used for all Zoom hearings.  Please contact Judge Thompson's Judicial Assistant if you have any questions or concerns.

Judge Thompson will hear short docket motions on the following days at 8:00 am or 8:30 am (depending on if its by zoom or in person):

December - 1, 2, 6, 8, 9, 20
January - 5, 6, 11, 13, 17, 18, 19, 25, 26, 31
February - 2, 8, 10, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23
March - 2, 7, 9, 10, 14, 15, 21, 23, 24, 28, 30
April - 5, 6, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27

 

The following types of cases are heard on the Uncontested/Short Motion docket:  Motions to Set, Motions to Withdraw, Motions to Compel (if no answer to discovery has been received), Motions for Discretionary Costs, Uncontested Divorces, Uncontested Adoptions, Motions for Default, Worker's Compensation Settlement Approvals, Minor Settlement Approvals, Orders of Possession, Name Changes and any other Motion that will take less than 10 minutes and will not require testimony.  These motions are generally heard Tuesdays through Fridays at 8:00 a.m., but please check the dates listed above for availability.
